Conference Topics

1. Academic Research - Paper Presentations & Doctoral Consortium

Scholars are encouraged to present papers addressing the following topics and exchange ideas with each other during the Paper Presentation Session:

1. Marketing Strategy
2. Service Marketing
3. Brand Management
4. E-Marketing
5. Logistics and Supply Chain Management
6. International Marketing
7. Consumer Behavior
8. General Business

Best papers will be recommended to Chinese Journal of Management for publication.

Doctoral Consortium is to provide opportunities for senior doctoral students and junior faculty members in the marketing field to connect and interact with fellow students and researchers. In particular, we will strive to create a collegial mentoring atmosphere by inviting senior researchers, including Prof. V Kumar (Editor-Designate of the Journal of Marketing) and Prof. David W. Stewart (Editor of Journal of Public Policy & Marketing), to share their valuable experience in teaching and research, and also to offer comments on their ongoing projects. This Doctoral Consortium will be held at Wuhan on July 11, 2014.

2. The Pragmatic Aspects of Academic Research - Dialogue Between Academia and Business

This Conference will provide a platform for recognized Academics and Business Leaders, to demonstrate the practical aspects of their research to entrepreneurs, and will enable participants to explore how advanced academic research can inspire marketing management. Importantly, the Conference will also encourage sharing of new insights and current thinking focused on how to apply innovative research ideas, and will enable entrepreneurs to provide practical feedback and suggestions. Scholars are highly encouraged to recommend their own or other’s marketing research achievements with value of applications so that we can invite scholars in relative fields. Selected scholars and their academic marketing research achievements will be published in Changjiang Times, New Chu Business Magazine, Sina Finance.

3. China Marketing Excellence Awards

As a highlighted program in China International Marketing Conference, the China Marketing Excellence Awards (abbreviated as CMEA hereafter) aims to collect and reward outstanding marketing cases by companies/organizations and excellent marketing individuals, and to provide a great opportunity for university students to show their talents and contact with the top professionals in marketing. CMEA consists of Excellent Marketing Cases, Excellent Marketing Individuals, Excellent Marketing Case Editors, and Excellent Marketing Referrals. CMEA is a great opportunity and platform to showcase successful marketing strategies in public for companies/organizations/ individuals. Any company/organization within the Great China, regardless of size, sector or industry, and individuals are welcome.

CMEA is not only a focal point for marketing excellence, but will also act as a bridge for the marketing industry to network and enjoy a thoroughly instructive and beneficial academic and corporate event in China. Entrepreneurs will be able to promote their corporate values through demonstrating their specific corporate culture and principles of brand marketing, and can do so by sharing details of their case studies. Moreover, participants can gain valuable personal experience from others and will be able to further strengthen the International, as well as China's, marketing evaluation system through mutual cooperation and collaboration.

4. Marketing Teaching Forum

In order to improve teaching quality and practical application of Marketing, Steering Committee of Business Administration Teaching in Colleges and Universities of Ministry of Education will organize two to three sub-forums (case study, theoretical applications, simulation, etc.) to discuss the hot and difficult issues about undergraduate teaching on marketing. We welcome submissions about Marketing teaching.
